The church as the body and bride of Christ, Jew and Gentile one new man, the armour of God. Ancient copies lack 'in Ephesus' — it may have circulated among the Asian churches. Its authorship is Paul's by unbroken tradition, questioned by much modern scholarship; the tradition is kept and marked here.
