Romans 16:7 is the entire record of both of them: greet Andronicus and Junia, my kinsfolk and my fellow prisoners, who are notable among the apostles, and who were in Christ before me. Four claims in one sentence — they are relatives or compatriots of Paul, they have been in prison for it, they are of note among the apostles, and they were Christians before he was, which puts their conversion inside the first three or four years. The Byzantine tradition keeps them together on 17 May and makes Andronicus bishop of Pannonia.
