23 November in Rome, an optional memorial since 1969; 25 November in Byzantium, where he is kept with Peter of Alexandria. The Roman day is the deposition of the relics Cyril and Methodius brought back from Cherson in 868 and laid in San Clemente, which is why the West keeps a day the East does not.
