Justin the Philosopher

Rome kept him on 14 April from 1882 and moved him to 1 June in the 1969 reform — onto the day the Byzantine books had always kept, where he is read as the holy martyr Justin the Philosopher and those with him at Rome. It is one of the few places where a Western calendar revision closed a gap with the East rather than opening one, and the date on this page is the same date for both churches for that reason.
