One of the six days in the year on which East and West simply agree. Byzantium calls her isapostolos, equal-to-the-apostles, for the errand of John 20:18; Rome kept her as a memorial until 2016 and now keeps the day as a feast. The medieval Western conflation of her with Mary of Bethany and the sinner of Luke 7 is not followed here.
