The first hermit, if he existed: kept on 15 January in the Byzantine books alongside John the Hut-Dweller, and on Meshir 2 in the Coptic Synaxarium, which keeps Antony twenty days later in the same month. Rome had him from the Tridentine calendar until the reform of 1969 removed him, which is why the harvested Roman day is marked as ended and he was, until this row, commemorated on no day of this calendar at all.
