The Laurenziana's own catalogue of its Oriental manuscripts, and the first full description of most of them. Assemani opens the Syriac series with the Rabbula Gospels and prints its colophon in full, converting the Seleucid year to the Christian one — which is why a codex written in 586 can be dated from a book of 1742.
