An illuminated almanac made for a Roman Christian named Valentinus in 354, and the earliest datable evidence for several things this dataset states plainly. Part XI, the Depositio Episcoporum, gives the burial days of the bishops of Rome from 255 to 352. Part XII, the Depositio Martyrum, is registered separately as depositio-martyrum and carries the earliest surviving notice of 25 December. Part XIII, the Liberian Catalogue, is the earliest Roman episcopal list with consular dates - a DOCUMENT rather than a narrative, which is why it grades differently from Eusebius, who tells the same story and is a historian doing it. It is a fourth-century compilation for the early entries and its first-century dates are as reconstructed as anyone's; what it witnesses is what the Roman church believed in 354, dated.
