Seven lives, Euthymius and Sabbas the longest of them, by a monk of Sabbas' own Great Lavra. He wrote a lifetime after Euthymius but gathered his material from men who had known the founders, and he is unusually careful with dates and names for the genre — he is the reason Palestinian monasticism can be dated at all.
