A handbook of the church year in East and West, in Latin. Volume II leaves the Byzantine rite for the other Eastern churches, and its section on the Coptic year prints the thing the Alexandrian synaxaria do not: the ladder itself. The Copts, it says, divide their solemnities in three - major (Coptic hannisti), minor (hankudsi), and simple commemorations - and it names all fourteen principal feasts, seven of each, from the Coptic liturgical books, with the Coptic text beside the Latin.
