The source

A linked-open-data reference work for the Syriac world in six entity classes - persons, places, texts, bibliography, manuscripts, subjects - with stable URIs and outbound links to Wikidata, Pleiades and VIAF. The entries are structured records with bibliography rather than lives - the prose still has to come from Bar Hebraeus, Michael the Syrian or the Chronicle of Seert - and it will not date a tenure, for which the Synodicon Orientale and the Book of the Tower remain the sources. Coverage is openly in progress and uneven: it is strong on authors and thinner on bishops who wrote nothing, so a gap in Syriaca is not evidence of a gap in history.
