Diatessaron

text · c. 170 · 2nd century gospel harmony by Tatian

One gospel woven out of four, with the genealogies dropped and the duplicates resolved into a single continuous narrative. It was the gospel of the Syriac churches for two hundred years until bishops replaced it with the separate four and collected in the copies; it survives in Ephrem's commentary on it, in translations, and in one small Greek fragment from Dura-Europos.
