The Apollinarian dispute

Apollinaris tried to explain how the divine and the human could be one by leaving out the human mind. The answer against him became the rule for everything that followed: what is not assumed is not healed.
How it ended. Set aside at Constantinople in 381, and the principle behind the answer governs the christological argument for the next three centuries.
